Darkhorse Comics will be releasing a new book next month called Prometheus: Fire and Stone which sets out to bring together Aliens, Predator, AvP and Prometheus in one big event.

Now, we know these movies all exist in the same universe, but this is a big project, especially to do it right.

When the Prometheus never returned from her fateful journey to LV-223, the questions surrounding the origins of man went unanswered. Now a new team of explorers seeks to uncover the dark mystery that holds not only the fate of theoriginal mission, but possibly their own damnation.

* Ties directly into the hit motion picture!

* First issue in a blockbuster crossover event!

This will be followed by Aliens: Fire and Stone, AVP: Fire and Stone and Predator: Fire and Stone. New books will be published on an eight-week cycle, meaning a new issue in one of the four books will be released every two weeks.

All four series will share some concepts, characters and situations. When each of the four books are concluded, one special issue will be published to wrap-up the overall story arc. The first issue hits stores on September 10th.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
