Hello and welcome to the latest episode of the following the nerd show

On the show tonight we’ll be talking to Daniel Jose Older about his new book Half Resurrection Blues, which I’ve just finished the audiobook from aubible.com and it’s really rather great.

We will also be going through two weeks’ news as we were off last week due to the weather – or last thereof, so expect much in the way of marvel and dc news.

We have a release date, cast and plot for Ghostbusters (3) and, as I’m sure you can imagine, we’re going to want to talk about that.

We’ll be talking about Big Hero 6 and Kingsman: The Secret Service, mostly because we didn’t get a chance last week.

Plus there’s big news on the Star Wars front, expecially regarding the first spin-off movie from Godzilla director Gareth Edwards.

We’ll also have news from the director of The Crow and a big story this week is the change in the origins of the Joker in the Batman comics. A change which I’m still genuinely not sure if I love or hate.

We’ll also have Stuart from the Monday Movie Show podcast on with the latest movie news and boxoffice top ten countdown

As always, I’m your host Marc and with me once more in the studio I have the man who likes nothing more than grabbing his camera, going into a dark room and playing with himself twice a week, before putting it on youtube… he does for toy-collecting nerds what stonehenge does for rocks, his family know him as stephen but to everyone else he’s known simply as… Saxon

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
