Hello and welcome to the latest episode of the following the nerd show

On the show tonight we’ll be talking to Mark Stay, the writer of the big sic-fi spectacular Robot Overlords which opens next month and stars Sir Ben Kingsley and Gillian Anderson.

We’ll be talking about the week’s BIG news story as Spider-man returns home to the MCU as Marvel and Sony work out a deal.

Also this week, does JJ Abrams REALLY want to release Star Wars The Force Awakens this summer rather than Christmas?! And is Luke Skywalker’s son in the movie?

A big rumour this week too regarding one of our favourite TV characters John Diggle from Arrow… could he be Green Lantern? We’ll look closer at the rumours…

Plus Gotham reveals the Joker…

And we’ll look at the latest casting on the Evil Dead TV series…

Plus much, much more.

How’s that for a slice of fried gold?

We’ll also have Stuart from the Monday Movie Show podcast on with the latest movie news and boxoffice top ten countdown

As always, I’m your host Marc and with me once more in the studio is the one, the only, Saxon.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
