Argo screenwriter Chris Terrio to rewrite Batman vs. Superman?

December 18th, 2013 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

Even though we just found out today that Warner Bros. might be eyeing Joaquin Phoenix for a major role in Zack Snyder’s upcoming Batman vs Superman, there is more news for the Man of Steel sequel. The Hollywood Reporter is saying that Academy Award winning screenwriter Chris Terrio (Argo) has been brought in to rewrite David Goyer’s screenplay in advance of next year’s production.

Batman vs. Superman (or whatever) was scripted by David S. Goyer from a story he co-created with Zack Snyder, and is now being rewritten by Chris Terrio. Snyder is directing. Man of Steel‘s Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman in the film, Ben Affleck is Bruce Wayne/Batman and Gal Gadot is Diana Prince/Wonder Woman. Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane will also reprise their roles in the sequel.

It is scheduled to hit theaters on July 17, 2015.
