According to Deadline, Candice Patton (The Game) and Carlos Valdes (currently on Broadway in Once) have joined The CW’s upcoming Arrow spin-off The Flash.
Patton is playing Iris West:
“Allen’s fast-talking, quick-witted best friend who is also the daughter of Detective West, who serves as a surrogate father to Barry.”
Valdes is playing Cisco Ramon aka Vibe:
“a mechanical engineering genius and the youngest member of the team of scientists at STAR Labs.”
The pair joins a cast that already includes Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, Jesse L. Martin as Iris’s father Detective West, Rick Gosnett as Central City Police Detective Eddie Thawne and Danielle Panabaker as S.T.A.R. Labs bioengineer Caitlin Snow.
The Flash arrives from co-creators Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg who, along with Geoff Johns, will write the pilot episode with Arrow pilot director David Nutter at the helm.
