The female-led Ocean’s 11 spinof Ocean’s 8 has signed up Homeland star Damian Lewis as the main villain.
Variety is reporting that he will comes up against Sandra Bullock, a former lover, and her band of thieves.
Little is known about the story at this point however reports suggest it centres around a heist at the New York Met Gala.
Gary Ross (The Hunger Games) will direct with Cate Blanchett as Bullock’s right-hand woman, alongside Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Rihanna, and Helena Bonham Carter. It will also see the return of Matt Damon – presumably as Linus Caldwell from the previous Ocean’s movies.
Ocean’s 8 is set the release date for June 8, 2018.
