Director Drew Goddard is a man high in demand when it comes to comic book projects. Back in December it was officially announced, that he would be writing and directing the upcoming Marvel Studios Netflix Daredevil series. In the same month it was also announced by Sony, that he would be writing the script for the upcoming Sinister Six movie. Now the latest is Goddard is not only scripting the blockbuster, but also in talks to helm it.
The Hollywood Reporter says that a contract has not yet been signed between the filmmaker and the studio, but that they are “nearing a deal.” Goddard has been rumored helm the film since December, but apparently he has now being seen as Sony’s top choice. The project still doesn’t have a release date set, but the film will most likely be coming out after The Amazing Spider-Man 3 which is set for June 10th, 2016.
