Keanu Reeves has confirmed that a third Bill & Ted movie is in development.
Appearing on The Graham Norton Show in the UK, the actor, who was on promoting John Wick 2, was asked about the status of the cult classic.
“There’s a cool story. Basically, they’re supposed to write a song to save the world and they haven’t done that yet,” the 52-year-old actor explained. “So the pressure of having to save the world — their marriages are falling apart, their kids are kind of mad at them. But then someone comes from the future and tells them if they don’t write the song it’s just not the world, it’s the universe. So they have to save the universe because time is breaking apart. So then elements of the past are coming in…”
The third Bill & Ted movie — which has been in development since 2010 — would feature Bill S. Preston and Ted ‘Theodore’ Logan in their fifties.
