Get ready for the new daily show

New info leaked on Star Wars Rebels LEGO

January 2nd, 2014 by Marc Comments

With Star Wars: Rebels coming to Disney XD this fall, we’re bracing ourselves for all sorts of information, pics, toys etc… and after the images of the Inquisitor action figure earlier this week (here), it looks like LEGO is getting in on the action too with Rebels releases; possibly as early as this summer.

Our friends over at the Star Wars Underworld have acquired some info and images relating to the new series and beyond. The list below is allegedly the names of sets that will be part of a new wave and includes The Ghost – this is the ship that will carry the main characters of the show and will act as the base or home for the crew ala the Millenium Falcon (as we reported from Celebration Europe during the summer), however Phantom and Jedi Hunter are the ones that have peaked our interest – while we cannot speculate on Phantom, we’re prepared to put money on it that Jedi Hunter is the ship belonging to The Inquisitor (continues after pic).

Another set of images (below), which seem to be grabbed from a future LEGO catalogue or instruction booklet shows some more pics of the new Cantina, AT-AT and Ghsost sets and, as our the guys at SWU pointed out: “You can see a small photo of The Ghost set at the bottom he first photo of the AT-AT(which clearly has a Battle of Hoth theme). At the bottom of the second photo, below the Cantina, you can see a line up of minifigures that includes an Ithorian Jedi Master along with two Droids next to the number 75051, which corresponds with with the Jedi Hunter set. Although the set also includes a Jek 14 figure, which most likely means this set ties into the Cartoon Network mini-series “LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles”.”

So there you have it, it looks like Disney will not just be bombarding us with new bits from the Rebels series, but they plan on flooding the market with toys and merchandise. If it’s original trilogy based and the show is as good as we hope, then we at FTN say… bring it on!

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
