According to Batman-on-Film (via Batman-News), the Man of Steel sequel will not have any Batman villains, but feature a pair of Superman villains instead.
Perhaps the thinking at Warner Bros. is since they’re having their three most iconic superheroes appear together then naturally viewers might want the biggest, baddest, super villains around. Although if true that sort of confirms that wonder Woman is not a cameo role.
As we previously reported, 300: Rise of the Empire actor Callan Mulvey is said to up for a villain role in the film, with Metallo mentioned. Doomday was also rumored not too long ago, with Wonder Woman. So does her confirmation mean we’ll be seeing him as well?
What two Superman baddies would you like to see?
Batman Vs Superman (or whatever) is being scripted by David S. Goyer from a story he co-created with Zack Snyder. Man of Steel‘s Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman in the film, Ben Affleck is Bruce Wayne/Batman and Gal Gadot is Diana Prince/Wonder Woman. Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane will also reprise their roles in the sequel.
It is scheduled to hit theaters on July 17, 2015.
