According to a “trusted industry source” close to the website CHUD, it looks as if Justin Theroux is being eyed for the role of Doctor Stephen Strange for the Sorcerer Supreme’s solo movie. Here’s what the site dropped:
“There’s no word on whether or not he is the only name being looked at for the part of Stephen Strange, but I am told that there is a strong interest over at the House of Lee in seeing [Theroux] become the Sorcerer Supreme.”
This would most likely be for Phase 3 of the Marvel comic films, which would be released some time along with Ant-Man, which is set for 2015. If true, this would reunite Justin Theroux with Marvel – he wrote the screenplay for Iron Man 2 in 2010.
