RUMOR: Production start and release dates for Star Wars: Episode VII revealed?

August 26th, 2013 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

Latino Review are reporting that the first day of principal photography for Star Wars: Episode VII is January 21st, 2014. It was recently revealed that pre-production had already begun, while Abrams himself also said that he would be most likely moving to London at the end of this year to prepare for filming. The 21st falls on a Tuesday and the site goes on to say that this date was chosen because Martin Luther King Day is on the 20th, but as that holiday isn’t celebrated in the UK, where the movie will be shooting at Pinewood, it’s not clear why this would matter.

Anyway, they go on to say:

“Disney/Lucasfilm are so far behind schedule that Episode VII will in fact be released around Christmas 2015 as originally reported by Devin Faraci of BadAssDigest.”

Star Wars: Episode: VII, scheduled for a 2015 release will be directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Michael Arndt.
