RUMOR: J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode VII set for December 2015?

August 20th, 2013 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

2015 is turning out to be full of huge movies with Fantastic Four Reborn, Ant-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, Mission Impossible 5, Pirates of the Caribbean 5, a Terminator film, Avatar 2, Assassin’s Creed and more. The summer will surely belong to The Avengers: Age of Ultron and Batman Vs. Superman.

But May is Star Wars month isn’t it? Well what if it isn’t this time around?

According to Badass Digest, the studio behind the J.J. Abrams directed movie is planning on releasing the movie closer to Christmas:

“Multiple sources have told me that right now Disney and Lucasfilm have December circled on their calendars, with a mid-month release – the 15th – being most likely. That would take Star Wars out of the crowded summer and, more importantly, give JJ Abrams and company a couple more months to work on a movie that’s already running a tighter schedule than most of the other Star Wars films.”

They go on to say that the movie could be pushed back even more if Abrams needs the time.

What do you guys think of a Star Wars Winter?
