With Spider-man on the tip of everyone’s tongues at the minute and Sony beginning their adventures into the world of Spider-man characters (although without Spidey himself), it looks like they are reshuffling upcoming releases.
Sony and their Columbia Pictures have set a release date for the second of their Spidey spin-offs, Silver & Black for banner have set a release date for their second Spider-Man spin-off Silver and Black. After the release of Venom starring Tom Hardy in October 2018, the ladies will arrive on February 8th, 2019
And speaking of Silver And Black, a new report claims to have the scoop on the movie’s finer details:
Silver Sable will be a bounty hunter working for the U.S. government. She has her sights set on capturing Black Cat, a wanted high-end burglar who is wanted by both the police and her victims.
However Silver Sable is not after the bounty, apparently the reason she is chasing Hardy for another reason, to find Mendel Stromm. Who experimented on her Symkarian countrymen in the past. Black Cat is apparently to be claiming to be using an “enhancement” from Mendel Stromm to complete her heists. However Mendel Stromm is also chasing down Black Cat, as he and his financial backers want her back in their clutches. Thus, Stromm recruits another two iconic Spider-Man characters both ‘SCORPION’ and ‘TARANTULA’ to find and capture her.
Hmmmmmm… it actually sounds like it could be a fun outing and a great way to tie in other Spider-man/Marvel characters.
Agreed?
But the reshuffle has had an effect on anther big release we’ve been (moderately) excited for: Bad Boys 3: Bad Boy For Life.
The movie was originally set for November 9th, 2018 but is now sadly gone from their upcoming slate altogether.
It doesn’t look good for the Will smith and Martin Lawrence sequel at the minute, does it? We’re starting to think this isn’t ever going to happen.
Other movies still on the list for release are:
Sicario 2: Soldado – June 29th, 2018
The Barbie movie – August 8th, 2018
The Nightingale – January 25th, 2019
Holmes and Watson – November 9th, 2018
So big changes at Sony… are they putting all their eggs in the superheros’ basket?
Let us know your thoughts.
