Teaser image hints at a new Predators announcement at SDCC?

July 14th, 2013 by Irwin Fletcher 1 Comment

Robert Rodriguez’s 2010 Predators film managed to take in $127 million worldwide at the box office. After its release Rodriguez confirmed that a sequel was in development, but we’ve heard basically nothing about it since. Yesterday the film’s official Facebook page posted the above teaser image with a the map in the background that features Petco Park in San Diego, which of course is nearby the San Diego Convention Center. We’ve also been hearing that 20th Century Fox’s SDCC panel will include a “surprise”, alongside Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes and The Wolverine. While many (Including FTN) are expecting it to be an announcement for upcoming X movies such as X-Force, could a Predators sequel be in the cards as well?

The quote in the image is from the 1987 Preadator movie. Arnold coming back as an older Dutch would be pretty epic…….just saying.

There’s always the possibility of it being another Preadators project, maybe a comic or videogame that will be announced at SDCC.

What would you like it to be?

I'm an LA journalist who really lives for his profession. I have also published work as Jane Doe in various mags and newspapers across the globe. I normally write articles that can cause trouble but now I write for FTN because Nerds are never angry, so I feel safe.
