Marvel has officially greenlit an Inhumans TV series for its ABC lineup, with the first two episodes being screened in IMAX theatres across the US.

The series will be filmed entirely on IMAX cameras and premiered in a two-week theatrical run at the beginning of September 2017, before moving into ABC’s Autumn line-up.

The Inhumans follows a hybrid human-Kree race of superpowered mutants, each of whom has their own signature ability meant to restore an evolutionary equilibrium.

The series “will explore the never-before-told epic adventure of Black Bolt and the royal family“, a Marvel statement read.

Some fans were worried the show may mean the end of Agents of  SHIELD, but according to Marvel “Inhumans has no impact on the fate of Agents of SHIELD. No decision has been made as to whether Agents of SHIELD will return for a fifth season or not.”

More as we get it.
