VGX 2013: All the winners from Spike’s video game awards

December 8th, 2013 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

SPIKE VGX Awards 2013

Spike changed up the awards this year adding over 20 minutes of unnecessary musical performances for a start, the awards were also presented in a small studio with very few people about, making it feel more like a web cast than a major awards show.

It may have gone done well with “the kids”, with the seemingly endless stream of foul mouth rappers prancing about the place but it bored the pants off me.

There were some new trailers for already announced titles but the only really big news is Tell Tale games.

Tell Tale taking over the Nerd world

Tell Tale announced two new licenses at the awards

Tales from the Borderlands will be developed by Telltale Games and publishers Gearbox.

This will be an episodic game that takes place within the universe of the Borderlands universe.

As with The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us games, it will be a story-driven game with choices affecting how the game will play out during the rest of the series.

Telltale Games will also release a Game of Thrones title based on the HBO series.

Both these titles are due for release in 2014.
