WATCH: Liam Neeson would play Ra’s al Ghul on Arrow “in a heartbeat”

Ra’s Al Ghul was recently revealed to be the big bad of Arrow’s third season, but we don’t know yet who is playing him. But now we know of someone who would like the chance…again.

Liam Neeson was asked by MTV News whether he’s been approached about making a return:

“No, I haven’t, I haven’t at all. I would, in a heartbeat, if it came my way, yeah Very much so.” 

Of course this is almost certainly never going to happen. Not only would the CW have to the pay an actor of Neeson’s stature, they’ve also made it clear that this is not the Nolan verse, or even the DCCU for that matter. They believe in keeping TV and film universes separate.

Either way Neeson gave some advice with whoever does end up playing The Demon’s Head:

“They have to believe in their philosophy. Ra’s al Ghul absolutely believed what he was doing was ultimately saving civilization, and it was quite a good argument he comes up with. Throughout the ages this fraternity, that brought the plague to wipe out a section of mankind because it needed to be regenerated again. Very dangerous, but you have to believe it.”
