Ra’s Al Ghul In “Arrow” Character Details Revealed

August 18th, 2014 by Andrew McCarroll Comments

According to sources at Dark Horizon’s the casting breakdown for Ra’s al Ghul in the upcoming new season of The CW’s “Arrow” has been leaked. The iconic villain has been referenced several times throughout the course of the series but is now ready to step out from the shadows to be the main bad guy in season 3 of the hit show.

“Ra’s al Ghul. Male, 40s-50s. Open ethnicity. Accent preferred. An iconic villain from the pages of DC Comics. Leader of the League of Assassins. Regal, mysterious, and of a bygone era. Proud and unforgiving. Ra’s is a ruthless strategist, a master of martial arts, and a shaper of history. He carries the wisdom of the ages, and protects some of its greatest secrets. Think the character of Bane from The Dark Knight Rises. Someone terrifying. Not a lunkhead, but a smart and physically imposing man. Major recurring guest star.”

The casting breakdown is said to have come from the upcoming fourth episode of the new season, ‘The Magician,’ which is the shows 50th episode. For me the show has been an unexpected gem, I was anticipating a ‘Smallville’ re-tread but ‘Arrow’ after a muddled opening has gone from strength to strength. I cannot wait for season 3 to begin.

Arrow season 3 premieres October 8th
