Columbia Pictures has revealed the first trailer for Jose Padilha’s upcoming RoboCop remake. We’ve got some stills as well that feature some of the other characters in the film as well as both RoboCop suits.

In the film, the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy (Kinnaman) is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex’s life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.

The film features an ensemble cast that includes Joel Kinnaman, Abbie Cornish, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson, Jackie Earle Haley, Michael K. Williams, Jay Baruchel, Jennifer Ehle, and Marianne Jean-Baptiste.

RoboCop hits theaters on February 7, 2014.

Great find Ed! I loved Robocop as a kid and I will totally see this movie. Only thing I think looks weird is having the one gloveless hand. I know the reason behind it I just think it would look cooler with it covered

Thanks Andrew! I thought it was weird too. Chris brought me around though. We imagine a scene where he looks at his hand to remember something of his human life. Also touch his wife, son etc. Looks better than I expected tbh.
