It looks like Amber Heard is getting prepared to return to the DC Universe as Mera.
Despite rumours that have bounced around since her and Johnny Depp’s unpleasant court trial/revelations of her departing the movie, the actress has now confirmed via Instagram (below) that she’s easing into filming with a good book.
The story is that on the first movie Heard would read books and star Jason Momoa would tear out the final pages on her, so this time she’s finishing a book before filming for the 2022 sequel begins, writing: “Before Aquaman took the last pages out of this book. #gettingakindleforaquaman2.”
The sequel, directed by James Wan will see Momoa return as Aquaman along with Heard and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II returning as Black Manta. It’s also been announced that Game of Thrones star Pilou Asbæk will appear in the movie due for release on December 2nd, 2022.
