Avengers: Age of Ultron plot details leaked?

June 11th, 2014 by Marc Comments

Ok, so we know that Avengers: Age of Ultron is now over halfway through filming – how time flies, huh? – but we’re still thirsty for any bits of info that comes out about the story of the sequel. And these new snippets could be pretty cool.

As always, consider these as rumour until you see the movie, really.

But have fun with them.

Oh and SPOILERS possibly

Latino Review are reporting that they have an insider who knows his/her stuff and are reporting some pretty cool plot points.

Firstly, they point out that the movie will be massive and very, very dense. Without a doubt the biggest thing Marvel have tried yet. They also point out that there have been some changes due to Black Widow, sorry Scarlett Johanson, being pregnant, so some of this may change somewhat.

Firstly, remember those pics of Hulk Hulking out that were from the opening scene (here)? Well it seems that is on the money: “Age Of Ultron takes place and opens immediately after the Baron Von Strucker post credit scene in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

“The opening set piece has The Avengers attacking that rogue outpost Hyrda cell run by Baron Von Strucker. He has Loki’s staff, and also possesses Chitauri weaponry. The Avengers are there to basically clean it all up. But that’s not all, Von Strucker also has the corpse of a leviathan! (one of the big monsters from the first Avengers – see bottom of the page)

“Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch fight alongside Von Strucker against the Avengers. The Scarlett Witch uses her powers and cast a hex on the Hulk into thinking that the Leviathan is still alive. It’s safe to say some serious Hulk smashing ensues. More on Hulk in a minute.

“Eventually The Avengers win, capture the staff and the bad guys. The team then goes back to Avengers Tower and have one poppin’ party. The whole team takes turns trying to pick up Thor’s hammer Mjolnir. This is their party thing. Rhodey is in this scene by the way. Tony Stark tries to pick up Mjolnir in his Iron Man armor and the arm accidentally falls off the armor. Oops. Captain America can budge it a tad but can’t pick it up! Now they may change this because the canon in the comics is that Cap can pick it up so we will have to wait and see. It will probably freak out hardcore fanboys.”

This would explain the Hulk reports and why he was going berserk and seemed at odds with Iron Man…

On Mark Ruffalo’s comments about his role being bigger this time out (here)?  Well: “In the party scene at Avengers Tower, we discover that Banner and Black Widow kinda have a thing for each other. Banner is afraid to consummate anything with her for fear of hulking out and hurting her. He doesn’t trust himself.

Buffy and Angel, anyone? Anyway on another note, they also report that Thor is no long with Jane and she is now dating Richard – remember Chris O’Dowd in Thor: The Dark World? – huh?

Anway, what do you guys reckon? Does any of this make sense? Can we expect to see some of this unfold in the movie? Let us know your thoughts in the usual ways…

Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, James Spader and Kim Soo-Hyun.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is set for release on May 1st, 2015
