One of 2016 biggest movies will almost certainly be Batman V Superman the Dawn of Justice. However, even with all the trailers, pictures, theories and cast lists, there is still so much we don’t know, or at least hasn’t been confirmed.
The main idea of the film is obviously Batman Vs Superman in an epic battle. However, we’ve seen in the most recent trailer that there is a hint of them now working together, the Dawn of Justice.
Well with the rise of the Justice league naturally comes the characters that go with it. We already know Wonder Woman is in this film. We have seen her amazing costume, her explosive arm bracers and her indestructible shield, sorry Captain America but hers looks cooler. However, what about the others? Well there are rumours that Aquaman is going to be in this film, as a brief cameo most likely. It is unclear how this will happen or what role we will see him as.
What has been confirmed though is the appearance of The Flash – although we reported his involvement well over a year ago (here). Costume designer, Michael Wilson spoke about The Flash in the film; “I’m not really at the liberty to talk about The Flash right now, but it’s something that you’ll be seeing in the future in our films. You do get a glimpse of him, of course, in Batman v Superman.” Wilkinson continued by mentioning the actor Ezra Miller, “[Ezra’s] an extraordinary performer, he has a sort of interesting sense of humor and the youth that will be great for Barry Allen and I think he’s going to make a great Flash.”
It’s unlikely his role in the film will be anything more than just a glimpse, like Wilson said. It’s also unlikely we will see him as the Flash. A recent picture just shows the character in his room and this is likely all we’ll get. I assume it will be the same for Aquaman and whoever else they want to pack in an already packed film. Think of it as a little glimpse to the standalones that are on their way.
