The originally planned for March 2016 Beverly Hills Cop 4 (here) has now been put on indefinite hold…
The movie was set to star Eddie Murphy as Axel Foley once more but now it seems that Paramont aren’t moving ahead, despite Rush Hour’s Brett Ratner having been attached to direct.
Eddie Murphy himself had previously said that the script was an issue and difficult to nail down: “I’m not doing a ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ unless they have a really incredible script. I’ve read a couple things that look like they can make some paper, but I’m not doing a s****y movie just to make some paper. The s**t got to be right.”
So we’re guessing that the script was pretty, em, s****y then…
