Remember a while back we reported that FOX want Bryan Singer to look after an X-Men/Fantastic Four crossover (here)? Well, Singer has just confirmed that there is something to it…

Talking to Yahoo!, the director of the currently filming X-Men: Apocalypse said about a crossover: “Those ideas are in play.

“That would be a natural match-up because they’re both ensemble films and there is a natural mechanism by which to do it. It deals with time. That’s all I’m going to say.”

However, with expectation low for the Fantastic Four, Singer seems to be hinting that they have to wait to see how it performs, along with Apocalypse, before making any moves towards the future, whatever that may be: “We’ll have to see how the films turn out.

“To just say you’re going to do it would be a mistake, you have to see how the films evolve before you make that decision to completely commit to that.”

We reckon it’s a safe bet that this will happen soon and that Singer will be the man to guide them both into the future together… but what of the rumours that FOX have been talking to Marvel (here)? Well, that is still a long way off… if at all.
