Here’s the deal… we liked Suicide Squad. A lot. And, yes, her performance was flawed but we actually enjoy Cara Delevinge as the Enchatress/June Moon. No, seriously, we did.
But none of that matters (for now) because the actress herself believes she’ll be sitting the sequel out.
In an interview while doing the tour for Valerian, she was asked about returning for the sequel and she seemed sure it wasn’t happening: “Pretty sure. It was a life-changing experience and of course I’d do another one, but I don’t think it would make sense for the character. I’ll probably still be on the set hanging out with everyone.”
While there’s nothing set in stone for the DC sequel yet, it’s a pretty sure thing that it’s going to happen at some point.
Enchantress being absent makes sense to the type of story being told, but we wouldn’t rue out seeing her as June Moon at some point in the movie, after all we know that Joel Kinnamon will be back as Rick Flagg, her boyfriend in the first movie (and leader of the Squad).
But, what say you all? Are you glad she’s gone? Sad? Couldn’t care either way? Let us know…
