He’s at it again and this time he’s using Wolverine…
You may recall Ryan Reynolds crashed the Marvel Hall H presentation for Avengers: Doomsday at San Diego Comic-Con last month when he pretty much begged for Deadpool to be allowed to join the lineup for Doomsday? Well, he’s at it again, this time at Disney’s D23 Expo in Anaheim.
And this time he’s using Wolverine star Hugh Jackman.

During the Avengers Doomsday presentation at D23, a video played of Hugh Jackman apparently reading a script while being prompted and threatened by an off-screen Ryan Reynolds – you can see it here:

The bit here, as at SDCC, is that Wolverine and Deadpool aren’t in Avengers: Doomsday but Reynolds really wants them to be – as Jackman says in the video: “Dude, they’ve got like 28 people, why would they need us?!”
However, I’m hearing reports that Deadpool and Wolverine are in Doomsday and will share the screen with (highlight to read) Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man but the joke is still that they aren’t in the movie.
Ryan Reynold himself, aware that the clip had been shared online, released it on X, writing: “As you know, I do not condone leaked Deadpool-related footage, so here is the D23 video.” This is, of course, a sly joke itself about how his Deadpool movie was finally greenlit when test footage was released and fans loved it.
Whether or not the duo appears in Doomsday (they will), it does seem likely they will have a big role to play in Avengers: Secret Wars, which comes next.
Also, dammit, why was Thor crying!? We need to know…
