David Fincher’s Squid Game movie finds a writer

It looks like Fight Club and The Game director David Fincher has a writer lined up for what might be his next project… Squad Game: The Movie.

Yes, we learned some time ago that Fincher was attached to the Netflix movie based on the hit series, but it seemed to be forgotten… until now, that is.

It seems the Spooks and Utopia writer Dennis Kelly is on board the project which Fincher reportedly put aside his Chinatown prequel to make after the Korean series took the world by storm a couple of years back.

Honestly, Fincher and Squid Game feels like such an unlikely pairing but the man has talent and the property is one that has captured our imaginations. Word on if it’ll be a prequel/sequel/reboot is no readily available yet but the project definitely has our attention.

Thoughts?
