Director Patty Jenkins is signed up for a Wonder Woman sequel

June 5th, 2017 by Marc Comments

So we already know that a sequel to Wonder Woman is in the pipeline (here), especially since it is dominating the box office (and Rotten Tomatoes surprisingly) and we know that director Patty Jenkins has plans for Diana Prince beyond WWI (here).

But what we weren’t sure about was wether or not Jenkins would be involved, but it’s been revealed that Jenkins, like star Gal Gadot, has signed on for two movies.

Yes, both ladies are contracted to do at least two Wonder Woman movies. Which is, frankly, great news.

So, obviously this is no guarantee that Jenkins will return but we know we definitely want her to take Diana Prince into the next stage of her development as Wonder Woman and with rumour being that it will be set in the modern day, we really want to see her fight some of those creatures from other worlds she mentioned in Batman V Superman.

Is it just us? Let us know if you want Diana to return with Jenkins at the wheel.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
