Well, now that the fandom has started to settle down after the announcement that the next Star Wars movie will be called The Force Awakens (yes, some like it, some loathe it with a passion – such is fandom), it’s time to start thinking about just what it means for the movie and saga in general.
Disney CEO Bob Iger got the ball rolling when he spoke with Bloomberg yesterday, saying: “It was a decision that was made by a few people who are involved in the process; [Kathleen Kennedy], who runs Lucasfilm for us, and J.J. Abrams, who’s directing the Force Awakens… were involved in the decision, as were we. We feel great about the film and can’t wait until it comes out.”
Does this make you feel better about it, knowing JJ and Kathleen Kennedy were involved? Or were you ok in the first place? Let us know…
Star Wars Episode VII is due out on 18 December 2015.
