Big shake-up for the Armour Wars series as it’s now been changed… to a movie.
During Comic-Con and D23 there was a lot of people wondering why Armour Wars was not mentioned at all and now we may know.
The story of Stark Technology falling into the wrong hands and being left to Don Cheadle’s Colonel James “Rhodey” Rhodes, AKA War Machine to fix it was originally set to be told over six episodes but now it seems we’ll be heading to the cinema to see it, rather than tuning in weekly to Disney+.
Sources say the studio was committed in getting the story told the right way and in that process realized that a feature was better suited for the project. Like all Marvel movies, it is intended for a theatrical release.
The movie will still be penned by lead writer Yassir Lester.
There is no word on when the movie will film, where it fits into the current MCU timeline or who will direct it but we know that Cheadle will star.
We’re hearing rumours that Paul Bettany’s White Vision and Sam Rockwell’s Justin Hammer will both return and we’re ok with that… especially Rockwell, we need more Justin Hammer in the MCU – there’s an opening for him to become the evil Tony Stark and we’re here for every bit of it!
