In what has to be the ‘wut!?’ story of the week, Sir Anthony Hopkins has joined the cast to Transformer: The Last Knight.
Now there is literally nothing known about who he’ll play, though at the minute we have to say the dafe bet is on him voicing on of the Autobots or Decepticons.
Hopkins is of course probably best known for playing Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the Lambs but recently made a big splash in the nerd sphere by playing Thor’s father, Odin, in the MCU.
Although, in fairness, the Transformers movies are no strangers to talent (being wasted) with the likes of Stanley Tucci,Kelsey Grammar and Jon Voight all having turned in performances with the robots in disguise.
The announcement tweet is below and below that is another tweet that some are speculating might be related to his casting… could he play Goldbug? Who knows.
Let us hear your thoughts in all the usual ways guys.

Oh and, in a totally bizarre Tweet, it seems the world’s loneliest dog will be part of the movie too. No, we have no idea either.
Found this in the news last week in the UK. We gave the Loneliest Dog, a role in Transformers. (1/3) pic.twitter.com/u4NIBRmvPH
