It’s been quite a year for John Boyega, enjoying all the fruits of megastardom courtesy of his starring role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

But, while 2015 was certainly one to remember for the 23-year-old British actor, 2016 might be a whopper too. He has been nominated for the prestigious BAFTA Rising Star Award.

The star will go up against Taron Egerton, Brie Larson, Dakota Johnson, and Bel Powley for the award. This BAFTA award is voted on by the public, so popularity of a film like Star Wars does fit into the equation on this particular one. The rest of the BAFTA nominations are coming Friday, January 8, 2016.

Next up for Boyega is The Circle with an all-star cast including Emma Watson, Tom Hanks, Bill Paxton. He also heads back to the set of Star Wars for Episode VIII this month, due to hit theatres May of next year.

Here are the other nominees…

Taron Egerton

Dakota Johnson

Brie Larson

Bel Powley
