June 1st, 2021 by Marc Comments

Cool news for fans of the Borderlands game looking forward to the game’s big-screen debut as we have our first look at one of the major characters set to appear.

Star Jamie Lee Curtis, who plays Tannis in the movie, shared the image in a tweet, below, of Cate Blanchett as Lilith.

Writing on social media, Curtis said: “Lilith, our legendary heroine, psycho blasting, vault hunting vixen with a bad attitude.”

You can see how the character looks in the game if you cast your eyes to the left.

It’s likely there will be more teasers from the movie, which started filming this week, so keep an eye on here and as and when they appear, we’ll be sharing them.

Lilith, an infamous outlaw with a mysterious past, reluctantly returns to her home planet of Pandora to find the missing daughter of the universe’s most powerful S.O.B., Atlas.

Lilith forms an alliance with an unexpected team – Roland (Kevin Hart), a former elite mercenary, now desperate for redemption; Tiny Tina (Greenblatt), a feral pre-teen demolitionist; Krieg, Tina’s musclebound, rhetorically challenged protector; Tannis, the scientist with a tenuous grip on sanity; and Claptrap, a persistently wiseass robot. These unlikely heroes must battle alien monsters and dangerous bandits to find and protect the missing girl, who may hold the key to unimaginable power. The fate of the universe could be in their hands – but they’ll be fighting for something more: each other.”

No word on when we will see Borderlands on the big screen as of yet.

UPDATE: The whole cast has been revealed of Cate Blanchett as Lilith, Kevin Hart as Roland, Jamie Lee Curtis as Tannis, Jack Black as Claptrap, Ariana Greenblatt as Tiny Tina, and Florian Munteanu as Krieg:

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
