FIRST LOOK: Stallone posts new look for Rambo in images from fifth movie now filming

October 3rd, 2018 by Marc Comments

We reported a few weeks back that Sylvester Stallone was getting back in shape for a fifth Rambo movie (here) and now we have our first look at him on set.

the actor released two images from the new movie on his Instagram (below) and it seems he’s going for a certain cowboy look.

Stallone first played John Rambo waaaaaay back in 1982’s First Blood and now he’s in shape for the fifth outing having last played the character in the 2008 overly gory installment, Rambo.

Last we heard a new Rambo was planned but Stallone wouldn’t be returning (here) and before that, a TV show was in the works (here) in fact the last time Stallone himself was attached to the role was in 2014 when he said it would be called Last Blood: Rambo (here).

Back then the rumoured plot read like this: “With ‘Rambo V’ Sylvester Stallone returns in his iconic role. This time he goes up against a Mexican cartel. Stallone, who has also written the screenplay, describes the new Rambo as his version of ‘No Country for Old Men.’”

No idea of that’s what we’re getting this time, but we’re watching with mounting curiosity…

Here’s the images:

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
