You may recall only a few days ago we revealed that the Flashpoint movie had its directors signed up (here) in the form of writer/directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein.
Well, as we earlier speculated, it seems that, while the guys behind Horrible Bosses and Game Night are certainly in line for the gig, the deal has not been done.
“We’re still negotiating,” Daley told THR, “deals are in the works right now.”
They also say they’ve not started work on the script since the deal isn’t finalised: “We have to sign the deal. Hopefully, it will work out.”
It seems the guys won’t ne thrown by the fact that it’s a big deal directing a movie like Flashpoint with Goldstein joking: “It’s all about parking spots. If you give in then you’re all the way out by craft services. You want a better spot than that.”
Given that Batgirl lost Joss Whedon last night (here) and it looks like Nightwing may be close to losing its director too (at least for now), we’re not really surprised that nothing is a signed and sealed yet. Are you?
