Oh, this is a little worrying, Gambit fans.
It looks like FOX have removed director Doug Liman and stars Channing Tatum and Lea Seydoux’s Gambit movie from their schedule. It was originally set for October 7th this year, although we suspected that would never happen.
However, now the movie is in the abyss of will it or won’t it be made.
However, Marvel/FOX have set one untitled movie for that release date and a second one on January 12th, 2018. We’re guessing one of them is the Deadpool sequel… but who knows? Well, FOX, we suppose.
In related news, Alien Covenant has been set two months earlier from October 6th, 2017 to August 4th, 2017. And it seems the Alien’s main enemy, The Predator, has a release date set for March 2nd, 2018.
We’re sorry to see Gambit drop, but we are curious to see what the untitled movies are – though we hope FOX doesn’t rush production on whatever they may be. As for Alien, well, it’s going to be nice to see it as soon as possible. And yes, we’re really excited to see Shane Black’s take on Predator.

It seems that FOX are still intent on releasing Gambit on an undisclosed date in 2017. Filming is expected to begin this Spring.
