Zack Snyder has shared a very cool make-up test from his upcoming Netflix epic sci-fi Rebel Moon and it looks great.

Celebrating Geeked Week 2022, Snyder shared the brief footage of a cenobite-like alien with massive horns and it looks pretty damned cool. You can see the video below of the creature, above.

As well as this, he and star Sofia Boutella took to social media to discuss the now filming movie, which Snyder called a “Sci-fi opera with visual effects and crazy action”.

While Boutella says it’s the story of “a bunch of misfits who come together against all odds”.

It’s clear just from these few lines that the rumoured Star Wars influence is definitely present.

Check out the clips below.

Rebel Moon centers on a peaceful colony at the edge of the galaxy that is suddenly threatened by the armies of a tyrannical regent named Balisarius (Ed Skrein). Desperate, the colony sends a young woman named Kora (Sofia Boutella) with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from nearby planets to aid in their fight against the regent. The movie also stars Charlie Hunnam, Ray Fisher, Djimon Hounsou, Jena Malone, Doona Bae, Staz Nair, Fra Free, Cary Elwes, Alfonso Herrera, Stuart Martin, and Corey Stoll.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
