Ok, two things… this is probably nothing more than a big mislead and secondly, we’re sorry we’re a bit late with this one.

Ok, so last week we confirmed that Better Call Saul star Michael Mando was cast in the upcoming Spider-man: Homecoming and we had no idea as who.

Well maybe we do now…

Possibly…

Ok, here’s the deal, the Better Call Saul twitter posted, congratulating him on his casting and writing: “@MandoMichael is spectacular at bringing carnage to life in #BetterCallSaul”

Now, if you don’t know your comics this may not mean much, but if you do, you’ll know that the the usage of the word ‘carnage’.

Carnage is one of Spidey’s main bad guys: “Carnage was once a serial killer known as Cletus Kasady, and became Carnage after merging with the offspring of the alien symbiote called Venom during a prison breakout. The symbiote amplified his psychotic nature making him even less mentally stable than he had been previously, and therefore even more dangerous. An interesting note is that, unlike Venom, Carnage is a singular entity, referring to himself as “I” instead of “We”. (Marvel.com)

With Sony apparently owning the rights to Venom, it would make sense that Cletus Cassidy would be in the movie, although how exactly he would become Carnage without Venom, is anyone’s guess.

That said, with Sony having revealed they are planning on working with Marvel more in the near future, it is very possible we’ll see Venom and Carnage in the MCU… it’s just a question of when, really…
