The Wrap are reporting that the actor will play Bedivere in Guy Ritchie’s Knights Of The Round Table. Elba worked with Ritchie on RocknRolla previously.
The movie is rumoured to be the first in a proposed six movie-long story and Elba is in talks for the role of Bedivere, an older Knight who is “Arthur’s father’s right-hand man who takes it upon himself to train the young warrior for battle as he learns his true destiny.”
The script is by Joby Harold who will produce with his Safehouse Pictures partner Tory Tunnell, Akiva Goldsman and Lionel Wigram.
The movie is currently scheduled to come out on July 22nd, 2016.
