Iron Man 3 ending leaked? SPOILERS!!! Now added – UPDATED: who might be the villain in Guardians of the Galaxy?

February 2nd, 2013 by Marc Comments

We reported during the week (here) that the Guardians of the Galaxy were strongly rumoured to appear at the end of Iron Man 3.

Well, according to Latino Review, we were pretty much on the money. It seems that at the end of the movie Tony Stark puts on the Iron Man Space Suit (see Funko toy below) and flies off into space to team up with, yes, The Guardians Of The Galaxy.

Why he gets tot hat point seems to be still under wraps. We’re wondering if this is more likely to be the after-credits scene as is now the norm with Marvel’s movies…

The rumours came about recently after Downey Jr remaked that:  “Everywhere you look now in every Marvel movie there are opportunities where certain new pals of his could be useful. So they’re in the atmosphere, so to speak, but I wouldn’t expect to see them on the ground in this one.”

More fuel was put on the fire when the Funko toy emerged. So now it looks like it’s all true…

Subtle, huh?

Iron Man 3 opens on April 26th

Paul from Order 66 Toys (find them right here) has just informed us that this all has to do with Radioactive Man and how he’ll tie into the Guardians of the Galaxy movie. He got his info, as so often happens these days, from the tie-in toys. A LEGO set called Mabul Mansion Attack (bit more info here). Rumour is that Radioactive Man is the main villain in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
