Is the Boba Fett Anthology movie back on the slate at Disney?

December 12th, 2017 by Marc Comments

While it’s not news to report that a Boba Fett movie MIGHT be happening at Disney (EW had it on the movies’ timeline here), it has once again reoccurred.

Now, before we go any further, we have to report that this is a rumour and has no real hard sources, but, as is often the case, we can only hear the story so many times before we start believing it.

So the new rumour is that X-Men: Dark Phoenix director Simon Kinberg is producing a Boba Fett movie with Laurence Kasdan and the working title will be… Tin Can. Nice.

You may recall that in 2012 Fantastic Four director Josh Trank was signed on to direct before being fired by Disney, resulting in the movie falling into production hell.

But we would be very surprised if, should the Star Wars Anthology movies continue, we don’t see the galaxy’s favourite bounty hunter being absent from the timeline for long… in fact, we’d almost put money on it we’ll see Fett next year in the Han Solo movie.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
