James Gunn expects the third Guardians of the Galaxy Vol to land in 2020…

September 9th, 2017 by Marc Comments

In a recent Facebook Q&A for the UK home release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, Director James Gunn gave us an idea of when we can expect to see Vol 3.

When one fan asked him: “Can’t wait for volume 3 when’s it coming out???”

Gunn responded: “In a little under three years.”

He elaborated: “Right now I’m doing Guardians 3, producing a new film with David Yarovesky, and developing Starchy & Hutch for My plate is full for three years.”

So he’s actively working on the third outing of Star Lord and the gang and expects to to land in 2020? That all works for us.

Gunn has already said the third movie will be the last time you’ll see the current team of Guardians together (here) but with three years still to pass, you’ve platy of time to get used to an upgrade.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
