James Gunn reveals impressive cast for The Suicide Squad

September 15th, 2019 by Marc Comments

James Gunn has taken to Twitter to reveal the cast of the upcoming Suicide Squad sequel titled The Suicide Squad.

And it looks like, despite the rumours, Jared Leto is not in the movie… or at least it’s being spoiled here.

Also, despite Micheal Rooker claiming it wasn’t true a while back (here), it seems he is in the movie… and he was rumoured back then to be King Shark, who we know will be voiced by Steve Agee (here); make of that what you will.

We also know Daniela Melchior is Ratcatcher and David Dastmalchianis Polkadot Man alongside returning stars Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang) and Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Voila Davis (Amanda Waller) and Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg).

As for the rest, Idris Elba, John Cena, Joaquin Cosio, Nathan Fillion, Mayling Ng, Flula Borg, Sean Gunn, Jean Diego Botto, Storm Reid, Pete Davidson, Taika Waititi and Alice Braga… well, I’m sure we’ll know more as filming commences over the coming weeks.

There’s no arguing it’s a hell of a cast…

Let me know your thoughts.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
