Star Wars: The Force Awakens star John Boyega, who plays Finn in the movie, has recently commented on his reaction to the script of the second film.

“When I read the script I cried, and I’m not really a big crier… I’m more like a frog-in-the-throat kind of guy, who’ll try to hold it in and make sure I don’t let it all out.”

This of course doesn’t give us many clues as to what might happen in the film but speculation is always a fun thing. It’s obvious something very sad happens. How it will affect people is not known. Devout Star Wars fans could be in tears for days after the film with the deaths of many of the original cast, again this is only speculation. It could be a sad story in general to make it much more powerful for newer audiences, we just don’t know.

What we do know a bit about is John Boyega’s character, Finn. We’ve seen his character in many images, videos and clips from the film and promotional materials. Boyega has also commented on Finn’s story in the film: “His story is so epic. It’s a story that’s never been seen before, but it also mirrors the stories of Luke Skywalker and Han Solo. And he’s quirky and charismatic and funny. For me, he was the best character in the script.”

Although there seems to be a little bias there, it certainly sounds as if the character of Finn is one who fans will surely get behind. Han Solo style character with the stories of Luke and a light-sabre to boot is something that could go brilliantly in the Star Wars universe.

The film is set 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi, which came out 32 years ago. It features the new generation of heroes and the old favourites Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill all return to their roles as Han, Leia and Luke.

Star Wars episode VII: The Force Awakens has a UK release of 17th December 2015 (Less than three months away people!!)
