JUSTICE CON DAY ONE ROUND-UP: Official clip of Henry Cavill’s Superman wearing the Black Suit

July 25th, 2020 by Marc Comments

On Justice Con earlier tonight director Zack Snyder chatted with the organisers about his upcoming Jusitice League release.

While the whole interview (below) is worth watching, at one point Snyder gets passionate about his movie and seems to have a dig at the dire theatrical release we got, saying: “I’d destroy the movie before I use a single frame that I didn’t photograph. That is a fucking hard fact. I’d blow the fucking thing up.”

He also revealed some of what we can expect at DC’s Fandome event next month, saying that we’ll get the official title, the question of whether or not it will be a movie or series on HBO Max will be answered and we will get an official teaser.

It also appears he is finishing the movie for free, saying: “It’s exciting to get this chance, and I wouldn’t look a gift horse in the mouth and I love working on it and I’d do it for free – and I am.”

Oh, and he also revealed a clip of Henry Cavill in the black Superman suit from Justice League which also answers a question we all had since the first trailer for the movie came out for the theatrical release involving the last clip and Alfred.

You can watch the full interview below but in the meantime… how about a look at that Black Suit Superman?

Here’s the full Snyder interview (continues after video):

During the event’s first day (it continues tomorrow), we also learned that Darkseid actor Ray Porter mo-capped as the character alongside Peter Guinness (DeSaad) and Ciarán Hinds (Steppenwolf) for the movie but, obviously it never made the theatrical cut… will we see it in the HBO Max release?

Snyder also confirmed we WILL see the Steppenwolf we met at the end of Batman V Supeman in Justice League rather than the one in the theatrical cut of Justice League (“He’s a Spikey f#@ker”)! Yes!

On the big question of who would win, Darkseid or Marvel villain Thanos, Ray Porter said: “Darkseid would win. Because he doesn’t need a special gauntlet.”

Here’s the Ray Porter interview for your enjoyment (continues):

Snyder also confirmed that it was his choice to leave the movie due to family tragedy, but Joss Whedon was not his choice to pick up the reigns. He also once again confirmed Justice League’s runtime is currently over 214 minutes.

Cyborg star Ray Fisher said he would be open to showing up on DCU Universe/HBO Max series Doom Patrol for a Cyborg meet-up with Joivan Wade’s version of the character as long as the story means something for the characters and isn’t just a “hey, what’s up?”. Could ths be a hint that we may see this in DC’s new embracing of the multiverse?

Fisher also wouldn’t confirm if he’s set for the upcoming Flash movie.

Here’s the Ray Fisher interview:

On the second day Deborah Snyder revealed the details of a scene between Wonder Woman and Lois Lane that will be reinstated in the Snyder Cut: “It’s a scene where Diana visits Lois after Clark’s death,” she said.

“[Lois has] been… not going out and it’s just very supportive scene because even though she’s lost her house, she’s coming there not to ask for help, but to help Lois.”

He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife.
