Keanu Reeves reveals details and title for Bill & Ted 3

October 9th, 2017 by Marc Comments

If there’s one thing Keanu Reeves loves doing it’s talking up a new Bill & Ted movie (here, here & here) and now he’s brought us story details and a title…

Most excellent!

Speaking at New York Comic Con, Reeves, promoting his new movie Replicas, dropped some details on Bill & Ted 3 AKA Bill & Ted Face The Music (this is sort of inspired, truth be told): “It’s a cautionary tale. They’re supposed to save the world. But when we see them, they haven’t saved the world, and they’re married and have kids. And they’re playing to nobody. But they have to write the song [that brings the world together]…and face the music! Hopefully we’ll make it before I’m 60.”

Reeves’ excitement for the project is pretty clear as he breaks down a scene in the script: “I mean, it’s edgy. There’s a great scene where Bill and Ted are in jail and we’re seeing our future us’s and they’re all tatted and hard. They’re like, [tough sounding] “What’s up, dude? Hey dude. Hey guy.” “Stop calling me dude!” They want to beat up Bill and Ted because they’ve inherited the life that they f**ked up. They’re miserable and they hate Bill and Ted. There’s some funny stuff!”

So, despite several times in recent memory when we thought Bill & Ted were set to return, Reeves seems confident that we will see the loveable duo back to save the earth at some point in the near future.

Em, is there anywhere we can sign to try to make this happen?

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
