Well, we all thought it was coming but, as always, it’s nice to get the confirmation.
Speaking to E!, Damon was appearing with Batman himself, Ben affleck and Affleck dropped the little bomb that: “Well, [Damon’s] going to be doing a Bourne movie next fall when I’ve just completely lost any semblance of physical fitness.”
Damon piped up: “it’ll be in 2016 when the movie will actually come out. [Director] Paul Greengrass is going to do another one and that’s all I ever said. I just needed him to say yes.”
This confirms the speculation that the movie will take the place of the Jeremy renner Bourne sequel which was originally planned for July 15, 2016. So we’re guessing that is close to the release date (as we’ll get for a while) and the Renner sequel is on hold again.
But it’s good to have Damon back, not let’s just hope he and Greengrass can trap that lightening for a fourth time together.
