David Hasselhoff officially joins the cast of the Baywatch movie

Ladies and gentlemen, The Hoff has returned.

Yep, just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water, the king of the chest wig is officially appearing in the big-screen outing of Baywatch. Hasselhoff, who played lifeguard Mitch Buchannon in the original TV show, has been confirmed as being in the movie by lead star Dwayne Johnson. The former Rock has confirmed this in a video he posted to Facebook.

No word as to whether the utterly bizarre spin-off Baywatch Nights, which was part PI show, part X-Files rip-off, will be referenced, but we live in hope…

Baywatch is scheduled for release on 19 May 2017.
