Sony’s new trailer for the Venom stand-alone, sort-of-part-of-the-MCU-but-not-quite movie has been released.

Now, normally when I do one of these trailer previews I don’t give opinions. But since Spider-Man is one of my favourite Marvel superhero properties, I continue to have my reservations about this movie. Yes, Tom Hardy seems an infinitely better take on Eddie Brock than Topher Grace was. But the seemingly complete absence of Spidey from Venom’s origin? Huboy…
